Arrivals and Departures is a work done after the September 11 attack, specifically, New York. The prints present a field of layered order and disorder upon which a small silhouetted plane travels through. It’s difficult to know the destiny or fate of each flight but the images make it clear that larger systems are at work which may come into play with the aircraft or not.

Arrivals and Departures is a response to a day of spectacular violence.
