Foto Fantastic: Encounters With The Urban Erotic

Foto Fantastic consists of fifteen photographs taken while randomly walking the city. These photographs in turn are augmented with inserts appropriated from erotic comic books.

The photographic surface, mimetic of the world, is juxtaposed with renderings of extreme close-ups of genitalia depicted in vibrant colors of orange, pink, red & black. The viewer is asked to adjust their expectations of the Photograph and create a new reading of these altered images -- figments flirting photographically; turning an objective record into ocular titillation. And in turn to see our mundane environment become erotisized and fantastic.
