Hi-jacked was done before the 9/11 events, but it is now imbued with sentiments of a post 9/11 world. The piece was conceived while examining the graphic style used to depict emergency procedures in the information card provided by the airlines.

Hi-jacked examines extreme emotional states in a situation when things have gone very wrong due to purposeful human interference. The piece was informed by a sense of general anxiety fueled by the daily report of human caused violent events, such a bombs in public places. After 9/11 Hi-jacked reads as a presentiment for that day.
